What if I accidentally purchased Route Shipping Protection?

Route is a package tracking and shipping protection provider. We support brands by protecting their customers’ online orders from damage, loss, and theft. If something goes wrong, customers (that’s you!) can quickly and conveniently resolve their issue in just a few steps. And, they can track all their orders in one place via our mobile app.

If you believe you purchased our shipping protection in error, please explore your options below.

If your order has already shipped
Route is actively protecting your package in transit, and we cannot refund the cost of our service as it is currently in use. However, in the unfortunate event that your package is lost, damaged, or stolen on its way to you, we will be able to help resolve your issue with our simple and straightforward claims process.

If your order has not yet been shipped
For orders that have not yet been accepted by the shipping carrier (tracking status may read “pre-shipment,” “label created,” or “awaiting pickup”), please reach out to the brand or retailer directly and request that they refund the cost of Route Shipping Protection.

If your order is a subscription or recurring order

To remove Route Shipping Protection from your next order: 

    1. Go to the brand or retailer’s online store 
    2. Go to your Profile page 
    3. Click Manage Subscriptions 
    4. From the View Your Next Order tab, find the Route Shipping Protection one-time product 
    5. Click Manage This Product 
    6. Click Remove Product

To remove Route Shipping Protection from all future subscription orders:

    1. Go to the brand or retailer’s online store 
    2. Go to your Profile page 
    3. Click Manage Subscriptions 
    4. Click Cancel Subscription
    5. Purchase a new subscription without Route Shipping Protection
