Why can't we edit or tag packages?

We really should have the ability to edit the info for each package. If I have 4 Walmart orders for example, there is no way to tell which is which without figuring out what the tracking number is for each one and making a note to reference every time I look at the app. It's not any easier than just tracking on usps if we can't edit or tag or rename each package. Other people have been requesting this for over a year now, what is the problem? As of now, I am manually adding packages and then deleting (and fighting Route to keep it deleted) the auto-populated packages, just so I can name them what they are. It's really stupid.

  • I agree 1000%. I have 13 orders. 12 of them say No item details available! PLEASE have an update that allows the user to add item information. A simple text field is all we’re asking for! Route does not have long on my APP list if this doesn’t change!

  • If I recall correctly, we USED to be able to update the Merchant and the Shipping Company in the Free version, but that went away a while ago after some update. It’s extremely frustrating. I’ve reported “wrong merchant” or “wrong shipping company” multiple times on various packages, but I don’t know what happens with that information I submit, because no changes are made to my shipment! Even the FAQ “solution” only walks you through on how to report misinformation, but provides nothing about what will happen next. I used to really like this app, but now I feel like I’m doing the majority of the work for it, including marking packages as delivered.

  • I agree with the above. We should be able to change merchant name and content of the package.

    I also see a lot of duplicates of the same order.
