Never worry about missing a tracking update for your online orders by connecting your email accounts to the Route mobile app.
Note: To track all your packages automatically, you must allow read-only access to your account. Read-only access will allow our mobile app to pull in your order information without compromising your privacy. Read more about how we employ multiple layers of security to protect and secure your data.
Click on your email provider below for step-by-step instructions on connecting your email to the Route mobile app.
Step 1: Create a new account
- Click Get Started
- Click Continue with Google
Step 1: Connect Additional Email
- Go to your Profile tab
- Tap Link another email
- Select Connected Accounts
- Tap Sign in with Google
Step 2: Connect your email
- Follow prompts to connect your gmail and grant the app read-only access to your email
Create a new account
- Click Get Started
- Click Continue with Email
- Click Continue
- Enter your Hotmail email address
- Select Next
- Enter password
- Select Sign In
- Select Yes
Connect Additional Email
- Go to your Profile tab
- Tap Link another email
- Enter your Hotmail email address
- Tap Confirm
- Enter password
- Select Sign In
- Select Yes
Step 1: Create a new account
- Click Get Started
- Click Sign Up with Email
- Enter your name, your Yahoo email address, and a password
- Select Confirm
Step 1: Connect Additional Email
- Go to your Profile tab
- Click the gear icon ⚙ in the top right corner
- Select Connected Accounts
- Click Add Account
- Enter your Yahoo email address and Select Confirm
Step 2: Confirm your email
- Check your Yahoo email for a confirmation email from Route.
- Either click the confirmation link in the email or enter the confirmation code into the app to confirm your email address.
Step 3: Connect your email
- Connect your Yahoo to Route by clicking the Connect Yahoo Email button.
- Sign in to your Yahoo account by entering your email/username and then your Yahoo password.
- You will need to generate an app password for Route. Enter “Route” under App Name and click Generate Password.
- Click Copy to copy the 16-digit password
- Click the 5. When finished click here text at the top of your screen
- Long press in the “Provider’s Generated Password” field to paste the password you copied
- Click Log In and wait for the connection process to complete.
Step 1: Create a new account
- Click Get Started
- Click Sign Up with Email
- Enter your name, your AOL email address, and a password
- Select Confirm
Step 1: Connect Additional Email
- Go to your Profile tab
- Click the gear icon ⚙ in the top right corner
- Select Connected Accounts
- Click Add Account
- Enter your AOL email address and Select Confirm
Step 2: Confirm your email
- Check your AOL email for a confirmation email from Route.
- Either click the confirmation link in the email or enter the confirmation code into the app to confirm your email address.
Step 3: Connect your email
- When your email address is confirmed, connect your AOL to Route by clicking the Connect AOL Email button
- Sign in to your AOL account by entering your email/username and then your AOL password
- You will then need to generate an app password for Route. Select Other App under “Select Your App” and enter “Route” as the app name
- Click Generate
- Long press the password to copy the 16-digit password
- Click “5. When finished click here” at the top of your screen.
- Long press in the “Provider’s Generated Password” field to paste the password you copied.
- Click Log In and wait for the connection process to complete.
Create a new account
- Click Get Started
- Click Continue with Email
- Click Continue
- Enter your Outlook email address
- Select Next
- Enter password
- Select Sign In
- Select Yes
Connect Additional Email
- Go to your Profile tab
- Tap Link another email
- Enter your Outlook email address
- Tap Confirm
- Enter password
- Go to your email inbox to find the verification code
- Tap to verify, or copy-paste the code into the app
- Select Sign In
- Select Yes
Congratulations - you’ve successfully connected your Outlook to Route! 🎉
Create a new account
- Click Get Started.
- Click Sign up with Microsoft.
- Click Continue.
- Enter your Exchange email address.
- Select Next.
- Enter password.
- Select Sign In.
- Select Yes.
Connect Additional Email
- Head over to your Profile tab
- Click the gear icon ⚙ in the top right corner
- Select Connected Accounts.
- Click Add Account
- Click Sign Up with Microsoft.
- Click Continue.
- Enter your Exchange email address.
- Select Next.
- Enter password.
- Select Sign In.
- Select Yes.
Congratulations - you’ve successfully connected your Exchange to Route! 🎉
Step 1: Create a new account
- Click Get Started.
- Click Sign Up with Email.
- Enter your name, your iCloud email address, and a password.
- Select Confirm.
Step 1: Connect Additional Email
- Go to your Profile tab
- Click the gear icon ⚙ in the top right corner
- Select Connected Accounts.
- Click Add Account
- Enter your iCloud email address and Select Confirm.
Step 2: Confirm your email
- Check your iCloud email for a confirmation email from Route.
- Either click the confirmation link in the email or enter the confirmation code into the app to confirm your email address.
Step 3: Connect your email
- When your email address is confirmed, connect your iCloud to Route by clicking the Connect Apple Email button.
- Sign in to your Apple account by entering your Apple ID and password.
- Apple will send a verification code to the phone number linked to your Apple account. Enter the code to continue.
- From your Apple account page, tap Security.
- Under “App-specific passwords”, click Generate Password.
- Type in “Route” in the label field.
- Enter your Apple ID password once more to confirm.
- Copy the 16-digit app-specific password
- Click Enter Password in Route at the top of your screen.
- Long press in the “Provider’s Generated Password” field to paste the password you copied.
- Click Log In and wait for the connection process to complete.
Congratulations - you’ve successfully connected your iCloud to Route! 🎉
Step 1: Create a new account
- Click Get Started
- Click Sign Up with Email
- Enter your name, your email address, and a password
- Select Confirm
Step 1: Connect Additional Email
- Go to your Profile tab
- Tap Link another email
- Enter your email
- Tap Confirm
- Tap Connect Email to grant read-only access
- Tap Continue
- Go to your inbox
- Click Add Account
- Enter your email address and Select Confirm
Step 2: Confirm your email
- Check your email for a confirmation email from Route.
- Either click the confirmation link in the email or enter the confirmation code into the app to confirm your email address.
Step 3: Connect your email
When your email address is confirmed, connect your email to Route by clicking the Connect Email button.
Fill out the information according to your email provider's IMAP settings (examples include Yahoo, your school, or your company). If you're not sure of these settings, you will likely need to look up the IMAP settings for your email provider. To do so, you can search for the provider’s IMAP and SMTP server settings on the internet. For example, to connect a mail.com account, search “mail.com IMAP and SMTP server settings”. You should be able to find a page similar to the following:
If you are using an email address provided by your school or company, you can reach out directly to your school's IT helpdesk or IT department for this information.
Once you have the IMAP Server details, here's how to enter the incoming and outgoing server settings into the Route app:
Incoming Mail Server (IMAP)
- Email Password:
- The password used to log into your email account.
- Username:
- Often simply your email address (such as routemobileapp@mail.com). Check the provider details for more specifics.
- Server:
- Check provider details. Usually begins with imap (such as imap.mail.com)
- Port:
- Often 993, but check your email provider for specifics
- Security:
- Check provider details
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)
- Email Password:
- The password used to log into your email account.
- Username:
- Often simply your email address (such as routemobileapp@mail.com). Check the provider details for more specifics.
- Server:
- Check provider details. Usually begins with smtp (such as smtp.mail.com)
- Port:
- Often 587, but check your email provider for specifics
- Security:
- Check provider details
Click Log in and wait for the connection process to complete.
